RISC-V Summit

We are always asked how we will stop fragmentation amongst RISC-V. members. The incentive to not fragment is to reduce duplicated effort and share work in the software ecosystem. The "how" is answered by Profiles and Platforms. New to 2021 these standards provide a single group of extensions and OS components that enable us to tell developers and distros alike what to target for upstream projects from boot code to hypervisors, operating systems, applications and tool chains.
