John Hauser

John Hauser is an independent computer architect, programmer, and researcher, with interests in hardware, computer languages, compilers, support libraries, low-level system software, and computer arithmetic. He received his Ph.D. in computer architecture from the University of California, Berkeley, in 2000. John started programming in assembly language in the early 1980s, and has been designing novel high-performance embedded processors for about twenty years. In 2020, he received a RISC-V Innovation Founders Award for his contributions to the RISC-V instruction set architecture.
