Oscar Palomar Perez

Oscar Palomar received a B.S. in Computer Science and PhD degree on Computer Architecture from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC), Spain. He joined the Computer Architecture for Parallel Paradigms research group at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center as a post-doc. There he led research on vector architecture and worked on the hardware architecture workpackage in the ParaDIME project. In 2016 he was granted a Newton International Fellowship from the Royal Society, joining the Advanced Processor Technologies research group at the University of Manchester to research computer vision and computer architecture simulation FPGA-based acceleration. He worked on the EuroExa project on the design and verification of a translation unit. In 2019 he joined back BSC to work on the design and verification of EPI's vector accelerator
